Dredd

Now, don't get me wrong, I really liked the first one with Sly, but I loved the newest version starring Karl Urban. It was grittier, meaner, more action-packed. I'm always a fan of explosive gunshots, bombs blasting and people being thrown off of 200 story buildings... in movies/TV that is. I hate when I hear about it on the news. But violent movies are my guilty pleasure and this one gave it to me in healthy doses.

Storyline is Dredd, the baddest Judge on the payroll takes a rookie into the heart of one of the most violent communities in the city. Mama, the female drug lord of the community wants to stop the two Judges from leaving with one of her goons, so she puts a hit out on them that has over 100 residents gunning after the Judges. What follows is some of the best action that 2012 had to offer making me pissed I missed my opportunity to see this one on the big screen.

I have no complaints. A+++ Stand up and take a bow!
